Well Well Who
Sometimes I'm the teacher and sometimes I'm the student! Last Saturday I had the pleasure of learning a new-to-me tangle from a fellow CZT and friend Vicky Davis Stewart: Well Well Who.
For those who don't know the tangle either, it is a variation on the original tangle Well and it creates beautiful floral patterns. It is also a great tangle to use as a string when drawn large.
This tangle was first introduced at ZenAgain 2018 by Maria Thomas herself. If you'd like to try it yourself, the step-out can be found in this Zentangle Newsletter article.
The first tile in the mosaic below is the one I drew in class with Vicky. The next two are variations I tried on my own after class. Finally, I created a six sided variation on a gray tile which turned out to be a perfect introduction to shading on gray tiles for a class I taught at the Lakeville Area Arts Center this month.
Thanks for introducing me to this tangle Vicky!
