My Amazing Sampler

Months ago I did some Found Poetry tangling and I just couldn't bear to put these gems away in a drawer!  Searching for some way to display them nicely, I finally stumbled across a pre-cut photo mat that worked perfectly.

The small tiles around the border are all mono tangles and are drawn on 2.5" tiles I cut myself from Legion Stonehenge paper.  Since they are small in size, they really only took me a few hours to draw over a few days.

Once assembled into the photo mat and framed, I have to say I managed to impress even myself.  This is a piece of art I'm super excited to hang on my wall!

When I showed it to my good friend Leslie, she mentioned right away that it would make for a great class.  After thinking about it, I realized just how right she was!  By starting with the small mono-tangles first, a newer tangler will quickly increase their tangle knowledge library and thus my Saturday Sampler Series class was born.

After completing the sampler tiles, students should have the base skills and confidence to attempt a Found Poetry project, and so that went on the class calendar too!
